Paradigma Naturale (2022)
The idea behind “Paradigma Naturale” is to build a story, for new and radical readings that question the relationship of power that man has always established with nature. The focus of the investigation is the Sicilian city of Favara, in particular the abandoned neighborhood of Palmolive. Trying to create a photographic herbarium of the spontaneous plants that were born among the ruins of the neighborhood, I came across a community of immigrants who occupied the abandoned houses. With these photos I want to represent a parallelism between flora and the people who, out of need, re takes possession of spaces that would otherwise be empty.
